Advancement

Cub Scouts are organized into dens according to their grade in school. They complete adventures that are specific to their grade and rank. A number of adventures must be completed to earn their badge of rank for each grade level. For each adventure completed, Lions-Bears earn adventure loops, which can be worn on their belts. Webelos-Arrow of Light earn pins, which can be worn on their hats or on an item on their sleeves called Webelos Colors.

Uniforms

Full information on Cub Scout uniforms can be found here. Scouts in first grade and above in our pack typically wear the uniform shirt and hat, as well as the neckerchief and slide appropriate for their rank. Lions (kindergarteners) only wear the Lion t-shirt. Uniform pants, belts and socks are not required.

Uniforms can be purchased at the Scout Shop, located at 203 E. Locust St. Suite C in Bloomington.

The pack has a limited amount of used uniform apparel, donated by parents whose scouts have moved on to later ranks. To learn what is currently available, please contact the Cubmaster.

What Comes Next?

Arrow of Light scouts earn their rank in February or March of their fifth grade year. Those who are interested can cross over into the Scouts BSA troop of their choice. The pack will advertise opportunities for Webelos and Arrow of Light scouts to attend events and campouts held by area troops so they can learn which one is the right fit for them.
